With Kate leaving and Zeva coming in the chemistry between Tony and Zeva and the innuendos from Mcgee and Abby were perfectly matched. I was concerned when Zeva left but the show managed to hold its ground with Eli. But with Tony leaving I knew it was going to be a huge void to fill.

The pilot clearly knows a bullet to his neck is a losing proposition for everyone and declines to to do so, citing fuel supplies. For fans who still adore the series, they’ll be happy to know the CBS drama is returning for Season 16 — and with Mark Harmon in tow. Before fans who still adore the series get upset, let’s be clear: It still has a lot of great elements, like Mark Harmon as Gibbs, the wit and humor of the show as a whole and that feeling of comfort many get while watching. NCIS does feel like home. You always know what you’re going to get when you tune in.

It was hard enough when we had to say goodbye to Cote de Pablo Ziva David , but when Weatherly announced his departure, it was like a punch to the gut. From that moment on, the show lost some of its oomph. The drama has lost steam it built up over past seasons, and it doesn’t seem like it will ever get back to what it was and what made us excited for a new episode. And now, with Pauley Perrette, our beloved Abby Sciuto , gone, where does the show go from here?

The best solution would be for Season 16 to be the show’s last — and to use this opportunity to go out with a bang, rather than dragging things out for years to come. And, believe us when we say we don’t like writing about how we want NCIS to end. It saddens us to realize that we don’t enjoy it as much as we once did, but sometimes good things should come to an end — before they turn bad. And with that, here just a few of the reasons we think NCIS needs to take its final bow come spring

Shortly afterwards, series creator Donald Bellisario announced plans to replace Todd with another female lead. At the time, he stated that the new character would be “quite different” from the previous and of an undecided foreign nationality—”I want to go for a European or Australian girl who is very comfortable with her femininity and sexuality. She was intended to portray one of the lead female roles in a Broadway musical version of The Mambo Kings and had turned down other television roles to stay with it.

My primary thought was, ‘Don’t let this guy get physically close to you. They really seemed to get that immediately, and that doesn’t always happen. Donna Kauffman April 6, 6: Tonight, we get a whole host of Tonys in episode 20, called Charade. Tony is standing in for Gibbs, we learn, as Vance greets a senator friend of his. Vance wants to know what that was all about with Senator No. We see him striking out with one of the servers, and as she exits, Senator No. Tony has much the same reaction. Completely befuddled, Tony looks down at the envelope the man smashed against his chest, and … yeah. Cue awesome opening theme song and credits!

At the end of Tuesday’s episode, Bishop decided to put an end to her brothers’ independent investigation and come clean that she’s been seeing Qasim Naasir Rafi Silver , whom we first met in Season 12 when his brother Rasheed Naasir, a terrorist, was killed by Gibbs Mark Harmon. Qasim is brought back into the fold in the Thanksgiving episode as the case of the week leads Bishop to a man who’s being wrongfully detained at Guantanamo Bay on suspicion of being a terrorist.

Bishop’s brothers George Ryan Doom , John Jesse Bradford and Robby Jesse Johnson arrive unannounced for Thanksgiving, and immediately deduce that Bishop must have been out on a date, since she arrives home after midnight, all dolled-up and wearing perfume. Determined to find out the identity of her paramour, they interrogate the usual suspects — McGee Sean Murray , Torres Wilmer Valderrama and Clayton Reeves Duane Henry — before finally landing on Gibbs of all people, after an algorithm designed by Abby Pauley Perrette says that Gibbs and Bishop would be a near-perfect match.

McGee popped the question! After years of dating, McGee finally worked up the courage to ask Delilah to be his wife. While he had initially calculated a monumental location for the proposal, he realized he couldn’t wait to make things bent his knee in perhaps the most iconic space at NCIS.

Before Season 14 of NCIS introduced its trio of talented new cast members to counter the absence of Michael Weatherly , the last time the drana brought in a new regular was back in Season 11, when Emily Wickersham joined the show as Ellie Bishop. The former NSA analyst was one of the big focuses of tonight’s episode, “Enemy Combatant,” as viewers not only got to meet her trio of nerve-grating brothers, but also got to meet her secret coworker boyfriend, who turned out not to be Gibbs, to the relief of the brothers.

Thankfully for everyone, Qasim is nowhere near as nefarious as his sibling, and he’s on the right side of the law. In fact, he appeared a couple of times in tonight’s episode before that big reveal, and we watched him working with Bishop on translating transcripts of an interrogation. Eagle-eyed viewers, especially ones who always suspect other people are up to no good, almost certainly got suspicious when Gibbs surprised the couple with dinner and they were a little too quick to show just how not together they were just then in that moment there.

There’s a reason Bishop was somewhat worried about going public with her and Qasim’s relationship. After all, her boss is Leroy Jethro Gibbs, the man who invented that all-important Rule You know, the one that says a little something about not dating coworkers. When Bishop confronts Gibbs with her repenting admission that she’s dating a colleague, however, the Lead Special Agent just responds with a simple “Took you long enough.

Best Abby and McGee Moment Ever!
